I say to my friends all the time that I might have a noodle restaurant one day and this is because I constantly find ways to make my noodles taste differently every time. I am a foodie and a plain looking food does not appeal to my senses, gone are those days when my instant noodles contained nothing but the packed spices they come with (by the way the spices makes a delicious season for couscous, bringing you this recipe next), this days I try so many other things like stir fry, using sweet corn, adding sausages, tomatoes the list goes on.

So am bringing to you my top five ways of making your noodles taste extra special, if you are bored of the way you make your noodles then here is 5 simple recipes you can follow. They are easy and they are so delicious, starting from the bottom;

3. Vegetable Salad Recipe

  • 2 pack Uncooked noodles,
  • 10 sliced french beans,
  • 1 cup chopped carrots,
  • 2 spring onion,
  • 1 clove garlic, 1 cm ginger all diced,
  • 2tbs Oil, Salt, Celery,
  • Soy sauce (use as required),
  • 1 Green bell pepper, black pepper as required

Heat water with a pinch of salt, then add noodles, drain and keep aside. Heat oil, add onion and garlic, onions and spring onions, french beans allow it to heat then add celery and the rest of the ingredient before stiring the noodles into the pan. Leave for a minute and viola. (The vegetables has to be crunchy).

2. Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe:

  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil,
  • 2 cloves chopped garlic and 8 medium green onions sliced.
  • 1 cup chopped carrots,
  • 2 cups cooked cubed or sliced chicken,
  • 2 pack Uncooked noodles (egg noodles is perfect),
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper (I like pepper so I add much more,
  • 1 dried bay leaf
  • 51/4 cups Chicken broth (stock).

In a sauce pan pour vegetable oil hot for a few seconds, add garlic, onions, leave for 4 minutes then stir in the other ingredient let it boil until the noodles and carrots soften. you can also add sweet corn to this broth.

1. Stir Fry Noodle Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil,
  • 2 cm Finely chopped ginger and 1 clove garlic,
  • 1 Medium onions sliced,
  • 2 stick thinly slices carrots and 1 yellow pepper,
  • 1tbs peas and 2 spring onion,
  • 2 tbs Soy sauce and 1tbs white wine vinegar.

Cook the noodles, drain water and set aside, on a non stick frying pan pour the oil, heat for a bit, then stir in the rest of the ingredients leave for 2-3 minutes then add the noodles stir for 2 minutes then follow with the soy sauce and vinegar. Remember do this all on low heat.

There are so many other ingredients you can add to make your stir fry irresistible, cabbage (which I love), shrimp, pork, sausage, thinly sliced beef or grounded beef etc, are some of this ingredients that can spice up your noodle game.
