I love when a house product turns out to be super useful, the feeling I get is just chill because I can engage in a DIY project. There are several projects that have been tried out and one of them is the baking soda shampoo, the uses of bicarbonate soda is almost endless it can be used as a foot scrub for calluses, it can be used as a facial mask for pimples and so on like I said the list is endless.
Before I let you in on the procedures of making your personal baking soda shampoo, I have to warn you against overusing the baking soda shampoo, reason being you have to consider the weight and volume of your hair, once you overuse the baking soda shampoo, your hair would become frizzy, brittle and dry. Therefore for a clean was use the baking soda at most twice a week.
What you need:
- Clean water
- Baking soda
- White vinegar
- Scented oil
- Add one part of baking soda into three part of warm /luke warm water and mix.
- Once you are done with the mixture, pour some into your hair and then massage gently.
- When you are satisfied with the massage, rinse by adding vinegar into 4 parts of clean cool water, add the scented oil to help be rid of the powerful odour.
