Am not a fan of fish but I love grilled fish whether you use grilled fish powder from the store or you go in fresh its always tasty. The only problem is the fact that if its not well marinated it taste raw but otherwise it is a very quick and impressive dish. Grilled fish all depends on what you want it to look or taste like, so don’t be afraid to add your own twist that’s the fun of cooking anyways.

Recipe; What You’ll Need:

For The Fish

  • 2 Whole Tilapia (Or any whole fish of choice).
  • 1 teaspoon of the following: All purpose seasoning, fish, curry powder, dried parsley.
  • 1 Maggi cube.
  • 1 Scotch bonnet.
  • ½ of white & Red onion.
  • 3 gloves of garlic.
  • 20g of fresh ginger (or 1 tablespoon of ginger paste).
  • 3 tablespoon of Vegetable oil.

For The Source

  • 3 tablespoon of Vegetable oil.
  • 1 green bell and 1 red bell pepper (Thinly sliced).
  • 1 onion.
  • 1 scotch bonnet (Thinly sliced).
  • 1 Tin of chopped tomato.
  • Seasoning (¼ teaspoon of dried parsley, jumbo, fish, curry powder & 1 maggi cube).
  • Salt to taste.


Some People like to add mint leave, lime or lemon to add a finer feel, scent and taste to the grill. For serving there is a wild option that you can choose from, Here are some suggestions;

Options For Serving

  • Rice.
  • Boiled Potatoes or Chips.
  • Boiled or Fried Yam.
  • Plantain

There are so many options you can choose from but the above would make good serving for the grilled fish.
