Asides from helping proper functioning of our nerves and body system, banana contains a slew of vitamins that help other parts of our body like our eyes for example.

Eating Banana peel can come as a shock to you but the truth is this is done in many part of the world, many of this countries have been in on this secret for decades now while many just eat the peel assuming its medicinal, either way this people have been exposed to the vitamins that are bestowed in the peel of a banana, according to experts banana peel contains daily nutrients and vitamins that are required by the body like the vitamin B6 and B12 which it has a high concentration on. Just like the body itself the peel also contains a high amount of magnesium, potassium and let’s not forget fibre, this means eating the entire banana (peel included) gives you double dose of this nutrients.

When we throw the peel into the trash it creates organic waste, so go green and eat the pee, know that the peel shouldn’t be eating raw, its better when it is boiled baked friend or blended into a smoothie. The reason why it’s best eating raw is so that the heat would break down the tough texture which would make it easier to chew and digest.
