House of Tara is arguably the first Nigeria indigenous make up brand that we have all come to know and it has proven that it has come to stay and will reign supreme. Anyway, the truth is Tara has really upgraded all her products and the new products are all on point. Even the packaging’s are now catchy and fascinating. Today I would be reviewing on Tara’s eye-shadow base (eyeshadow primer). Eye shadow primer is a product I can’t do without as a makeup artist.
Before I started using Tara eyeshadow primer I was using Mary Kay eye shadow primer which was okay but I stopped using it when I met Tara eye-shadow primer. This product comes in a transparent pan, its creamed color and slightly thick which makes eyeshadows adhere to it well. This product feels waxy and a little bit oily but when applied on the eyelid, it’s perfect.
When I use this product my eye shadow does not crease it goes on smoothly and stay put all day long. This product helps intensify the vibrancy of the eye-shadow, you need to be careful when applying this product on your eyelid as it can change the color of your shadows when you apply too much of it. To avoid that I use my finger to apply little of it and spread it on the eyelid to give a perfect shadow blend
Below are pictures of eyeshadow applied with or without primer so that you can compare and see how sharp the shadows with primer is compared to the one without primer.
