The 6th Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) opened Sunday night at the Film house IMAX theatres in lekki, Lagos.
Filmmakers, guest, the media and dignitries from all works of life showed up for the festivals opening presentation, the screening of the acclaimed Hollywood film, Birth of a Nation which was directed by, written and starring Nate Parker himself who is a previous AFRIFF participant.
The screening of the movie was preceded by a red carpet and open night party. Some of the stars that were spotted at the event and they include
Richard Mofe-Damijo, Rita Dominic, Hilda Dokubo, Kate Henshaw, Mary Remy Njoku and OC Ukeje. Business and Media executives Obi Asika, Jason Njoku and Adebola Williams were also sported.
The Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) is a week-long program that would be running from 13 to 19th and it would be showcasing about 155 world standard short, documentary and feature films. Its schedule would encompass industry workshops, creative discussion and development classes.
