One most important daily routine is to take a shower either early in the morning or at night before going to bed. The question is, are you doing it right? You simply turn on the water, hop in, lather up, rinse, and dry, but it turns out that there’s more to showering smartly than you know.
The six ways you could be showering wrongly are as follows;
1.Long Showering: You could feel good standing under a warm stream of water, but you do more harm than simply wasting water staying in there for too long. Five to ten minutes should be long enough for the average person to get clean because the longer you shower, the drier your skin will likely get, depending on the hardness and chemical content of water.
2.Applying soap before you shampoo: Always shampoo, rinse off, apply conditioner, wash your body, and then rinse off conditioner and body wash at the same time, so as to prevent skin irritation and acne. This helps remove any conditioner and leftover shampoo from your skin.
3.Morning shower: Showering when you get up could be helpful, but showering at the end of the day may be better for your overall health. Evening is the most appropriate time for showering so that you can wash off all the dirt or variety of toxins that accumulate on your skin and hair throughout the day. You prevent the transfer of those contaminants to bedding when you shower at night.”
4.Frequent showering: You shouldn’t shower just because you are tempted to. If you have a job that gets you dirty or do exercise and you feel you need to shower, go ahead.
5.Irregular cleaning: If your towel isn’t thoroughly dried out after each use, it can harbor bacteria which can be difficult in a moist bathroom. Using a fresh towel every other day is advisable.
6. Showering at wrong temperature: If your water is too cold, and your cleanser doesn’t lather easily. Too hot, and you’ll dry your skin out. Water that is too hot or too cold can strip your skin of its natural oils, leaving it dry and itchy.
Do well to abide by these my ladies.
