The way jollof rice won the heart of many is quite puzzling and whats even more fascinating is the many countries that actually lay claim to its originality. Nevertheless we cannot ignore that the jollof rice is indeed delicious and since am not here to start another jollof rice war, I want to believe that the jollof rice that pertains to each country is deserving of praise.
Have you ever sat down and wondered how most of these meals we eat everyday were created? Do you wonder if someone just made a mistake and out came with this wonderful delicacy that we can’t do without (yes most chefs & foodies can attest to the fact that they stumbled into many of their creation)? Well I’ve wondered and one of the meals that is fascinating is the jollof rice.
There are different ways and methods to prepare what is know as jollof; basically we can say jollof is the mixing of tomato puree and fresh tomato juice into rice or spaghetti (remember jollof spaghetti) to create a fascinating and yummy red looking delicacy. And because of this we have seen many chefs creating all type’s of jollof delicacy, we have brought you the spaghetti jollof, the jambalaya rice and the native jollof rice but somehow we’ve left out the original Jollof which makes me wonder why?
Somehow we assumed that everyone who is anyone and is a member of this great nation should know how to prepare this dish. This dish is so great that it even has a day set aside for its celebration, but lo and behold not everyone knows how to prepare this dish… So as usual here is a great jollof rice recipe that you can try if you haven’t gotten a hang of how to prepare this dish;
